The concept
Every philosophical tradition that takes consciousness seriously eventually arrives at the same paradox: awareness cannot become an object of its own observation. The witness cannot be witnessed. Ramana Maharshi called it the 'I-I'. Wittgenstein noted that 'the subject does not belong to the world: rather, it is a limit of the world'. The Ajna chakra marks the threshold between ordinary cognition and the recognition of pure witnessing awareness. This design is that threshold.
