The concept
Schopenhauer identified the fundamental nature of reality as Will — a blind, striving force with no goal beyond its own continuation. The self is not the driver of will; it is will experiencing itself as a self. The Anahata chakra sits at the structural centre of the subtle body, the point where physical and subtle dimensions meet. Both frameworks locate at the heart the same uncomfortable truth: the energy of existence is not oriented toward our satisfaction. The knot cannot be untied from inside the knot.
